When I can make a real difference in the trajectory of a client’s business, it’s incredibly rewarding. I use my transactional skills and my experience as a Certified Information Privacy Professional to help start-ups make the most of their early-stage opportunities and initiate best practices that will serve them well as they grow. I work with clients, large and small, on structuring and negotiating some of their most sensitive and mission-critical agreements involving the use, transfer, and development of technology and other IP assets that are the backbone of their revenue-generating operations and infrastructure. My experience includes, for example, drafting and negotiating US and international agreements for technology development, technology licensing, cloud-based services, SaaS, system integration, support and maintenance, Big Data licensing and data analytics, strategic collaborations, and product distribution. I also advise companies on the collection and use of data arising from the operation of technology systems and devices and help develop and implement strategies to meet US state and federal regulatory and legal requirements related to data privacy and security, provide privacy advice related to the development of new products such as mobile apps, and draft critical documents such as privacy policies and user agreements.
